Never have truer words been spoken. I have written and spoken at length several times about the importance of building a strong team in order to succeed.
The flow of a typical visit to a golf course from start to finish can be something like this
Arrive->Cart Attendant->Pro Shop->Clubhouse->Driving Range->Course->Refreshment Cart->Course->Clubhouse->Course->Cart Attendant->Clubhouse->Departure
There are a lot of people involved in ensuring that the customer receives the best possible experience. Building memorable experiences will make them want to come back again and again. If a course has good greens, fairways and bunkers, it creates a memory in someone’s mind that keeps them wanting to come back to that course. The service provided by every other aspect of the course; cart attendants, restaurant, bar and pro shop, become icing on the cake. They serve to further cement that memory and make it stronger. Building a team of individuals that are focused on high expectations producing quality work, top notch service that provides excellent customer service and recognition for a job well done are integral elements for success.These type of customer relationships and experiences are what enable a golf course to improve it’s ranking and achieve success.
